What costs credits: the complete rate card
Every action that consumes credits, what each one costs, what is always free, and how refunds work when something fails.
Credits pay for the work Strama does on your behalf: searching for leads, enriching contact data, researching and grading prospects, and writing sequences. Sending costs nothing, and importing your own data costs nothing. This page is the complete rate card, plus the rules for refunds, re-runs, and the charges people tend to discover by accident.
Credits are shared by your whole workspace, and every charge appears line by line in Settings, then Billing, so you can always see exactly where a credit went.
The rate card

|---|---|---|
| Search the Strama lead database | 1 per page of results | Each search, and each Load more, is one page. |
| Search LinkedIn Sales Navigator | Free | Runs through your own connected LinkedIn account. |
| Add or import leads | Free | CSV upload, manual entry, CRM import, or adding from a search. |
| Find an email address | 4 per contact | Skipped for contacts that already have an email. Refunded when no email is found. |
| Find a phone number | 10 per contact | Refunded when no number is found. |
| Find a contact's LinkedIn profile from their email | 4 per contact | |
| Fill in company and title from a contact's LinkedIn profile | 1 per contact | |
| Find a company's LinkedIn page | 2 per company | |
| Find a company's website | 1 per company | |
| Grade a company on a scorecard | 2 per company | Includes the company research. |
| Grade a contact on a scorecard | 2 per contact | Includes the contact research. |
| Generate a sequence | 5 per contact | Includes 2 free regenerations. |
| Regenerate a sequence | 5 per contact | Free for the first 2 regenerations of each sequence. |
| Watchtower run | 1 per run | Scheduled watchtowers run once a day. Webhook-fed watchtowers, like RB2B website visitors, are free. |
| AI deal summary | 1 per summary |
Putting the common path together: qualifying and generating for a new contact at a new company costs 9 credits (2 to grade the company, 2 to grade the contact, 5 to write the sequence). When several contacts share a company, the company is only graded once.
What is always free
- Sending emails, LinkedIn messages, and LinkedIn invites
- Importing leads from CSV, manual entry, your CRM, or a search you already ran
- Emails and phone numbers you bring with your import (enrichment is skipped for data you already have)
- Sales Navigator searches through your own seat
- Replies, the Unibox, and AI-suggested responses
- Connecting inboxes, LinkedIn accounts, and your CRM
How charging works
Every charge follows the same pattern: credits are reserved when the work starts, settled when it finishes, and returned if it fails. You never pay for work that did not complete.
That one rule explains most of the specific cases:
- Failed enrichment is refunded. If no email or phone number is found, the reservation is canceled and the credits come back.
- Failed grading is refunded. If a scorecard run errors out, you are not charged.
- Cached work is not re-charged. A company or contact that already has a grade on a scorecard is skipped when you grade again. Sharing one scorecard across campaigns extends this: when the same company shows up in a second campaign on the same scorecard, its existing research and grade are reused instead of re-charged.
- Data you provide is used directly. Contacts imported with an email are never charged for email enrichment.
Charges people discover by accident
These are the cases that surprise customers most often, stated plainly:
- Every lead database search run is charged. Re-running a search after editing filters, and each Load more page, is a fresh credit. Failed searches are refunded.
- Starting a sequence can trigger enrichment. If you start an email sequence for contacts that have no email address yet, Strama finds one for each of them at the standard 4 credits. You see a credit estimate before the run kicks off.
- Jumping straight to "generate" still runs the earlier stages. Generation needs research, so ungraded contacts are graded first and charged at the standard rates. The estimate you approve covers the whole journey.
- The third regeneration costs credits. Each sequence includes 2 free regenerations; after that, a regeneration costs the same 5 credits as the original generation.
Tip: Iterate on your messaging with one or two test contacts before generating for a whole list. Feedback saved to your style guide applies to every future generation for free; regenerating a hundred sequences to apply it does not.
FAQ
What is the difference between "qualify" and "generate sequence" in credits?
Qualifying (grading on a scorecard) costs 2 credits per company plus 2 per contact, and includes the research. Generating the sequence is a separate 5 credits per contact. Together, a fresh contact at a fresh company is 9 credits.
Why am I charged credits for leads I import that are already enriched?
You are not. Importing leads is free, whatever the source, and enrichment is skipped for any data you already provide. If you see enrichment charges after an import, they are for contacts that were missing an email or phone number when a sequence needed one.
If enrichment or grading fails, do credits still get charged?
No. Credits are reserved when work starts and returned when it fails. A contact with no findable email, a phone lookup that comes up empty, or a scorecard run that errors out all refund automatically.
Does re-running a lead search consume credits every time?
Yes, for the Strama lead database: every search run and every Load more page costs 1 credit, including re-runs after editing filters. Sales Navigator searches are free because they run through your own LinkedIn seat.
Does regenerating a sequence only to change the sender cost credits?
Changing the sender on a generated sequence works through regeneration, so the normal regeneration rules apply: free while the sequence has free regenerations remaining (each starts with 2), then 5 credits.
Does searching the Strama lead database cost the same as a Sales Navigator search?
No. A Strama lead database search costs 1 credit per page of results. Sales Navigator searches are free, since they run through your connected LinkedIn account.
Do watchtowers consume credits while I am not using them?
A scheduled watchtower runs once a day at 1 credit per run, so an always-on tower costs about 30 credits a month. Watchtowers fed by a webhook, like RB2B website visitors, do not charge per event. Leads a watchtower pulls in are only charged further when you enrich, grade, or generate for them.
